DOT tire code decoder

Enter a full tire identification number, a plant code, or just the date code. The plant lookup uses only NHTSA's equipment plant list. A match names the company on that record, not the brands made there, and the status field is not a finding that the plant is operating. The week follows the Sunday–Saturday rule in 49 CFR 574.5. Light-truck, winter, and temporary spare tires can still carry a DOT code even when they have no UTQG grade.

0109 is the week in the regulation's example (the first full week of 2009), not a claim about a specific tire. 329 shows how a three-digit date stays ambiguous. Read the layout first.
